Safe Harbor
Advocacy Services
Safe Harbor advocates are trained professional staff members who provide confidential and free support to Auburn students and employees who have been impacted by interpersonal violence, including people who have been impacted personally or through the experience of someone they know. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to meet with Safe Harbor advocates in a safe, confidential space.
Services include:

Crisis intervention and safety planning

Information about rights and reporting options

Medical accompaniment and advocacy

Academic assistance and accommodations requests

Title IX investigation support and accompaniment

Accompaniment to meetings with law enforcement

Referrals to campus and community resources
Please note: Services are available regardless of choice to report a crime or how much information is shared. Support is provided regardless of the time and location of the experience(s) of violence.
Privacy
Information disclosed to Safe Harbor advocates will not be shared with anyone without the individual's written permission. However, in the situation where there is reasonable fear of imminent harm to the survivor or the campus community, action will be taken to ensure safety.
