Chapter 35 - Dependents Education Assistance (DEA)

This program provides benefits for dependents of veterans who are 100% Permanent and Totally disabled or are deceased due to service connected to disabilities.

Benefit Coverage

• Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) of BAH based on the number of credit hours enrolled per semester
• The VA pay you up to the rate listed here based on how many courses you’re taking. 

*Students using for Chapter 35 benefits will be required to pay all expenses on the e-bill by the bill due date. Chapter 35 does not provide any tuition coverage.
