Learn how to change your plan

After the 10th class day, no changes may be made.

Tiger Dining offers a meal plan reduction for First-time First-year Auburn students who are members of a fraternity with a required meal plan.  There is no application required for this program. Greek Life provides a list of qualifying members to the Campus Dining office at the conclusion of each semester. Any credit will be automatically deposited to the student’s Student Financial Services (eBill) account after final exams are complete.

To be eligible, students must:

  • Participate in an Orange or Blue meal plan.
  • They must be a member of a fraternity that has a required meal plan providing at least 10 meals per week.

How it works:

Only the dining dollars portion of the meal plan is eligible for a refund. If there are no dining dollars left, then there will be nothing to refund. However, if you are eligible for a refund, it will be made to your eBill account by the end of December (Fall) and the end of May (Spring).

Example:

A student is registered for the Orange 5 + $475 meal plan which provides 5 meal swipes weekly at the Village Tiger Zone or The Edge at Central Dining, plus $475 dining dollars that may be used at any retail dining location on campus.  The student also has a required fraternity meal plan for 10 meals each week at the fraternity house.  At the end of the semester, the student only used $275 of their $475 dining dollars, so they receive a credit of $200.

Many students completely use their dining funds by mid-semester, so we do our best to make adding funds quick and easy. These additional dining funds are available via your Tiger Card – just like the regular dining plans.  These funds NEVER EXPIRE and you may request a refund at any time.  Add Funds via GET Mobile

There are two options for adding dining dollars:

Optional dining dollars are exactly like any other dining dollars.  They may be used to purchase food at any on-campus dining location, including food trucks, athletics concessions, and the Hey Day Market.

Tiger Club funds  are also available via your Tiger Card, but offer a bit more flexibility.  These funds may be used to purchase food anywhere on campus and at participating retailers in the local community.  Participating Locations List

**When you are near the end of your regular dining dollars, place your next order via Grubhub.  Grubhub will drain your regular dining dollars, then open the optional account to complete the purchase. Once your regular dining dollars account is empty, your optional funds will be used at all campus locations.

Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control.  If you’ve registered for classes but will be unable to attend Auburn during a particular semester, you’ll need to let us know.  Simply send an email to dining@auburn.edu sharing your name, 90# and an explanation that you will not be attending classes at Auburn.  We’ll watch your account, and when your withdrawal is approved and processed, unused dining funds will be refunded to your Student Financial Services (eBill) account.

Dining Location Information

Other Important Information

Our full-time registered dietitian (RD) is available to help you find appropriate food options on campus as well as to provide one-on-one support if you have special dietary needs.  Our RD played a key role in creating the menus at the True Balance Allergen Solutions Stations in our dining halls which serve a menu free from the top nine food allergens and gluten (No wheat, soy, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, or gluten).

Connect with our Registered Dietitian

Occasionally, we encounter a student whose special circumstances warrant a dining plan accommodation: due to medical necessity, being away from campus, or religious restrictions that cannot be accommodated in our dining facilities.

After meeting and discussing your situation with our dietitian, you may request a dining plan accommodation:  either a dining plan reduction or a dining plan exemption, based on your particular circumstances.

Learn more about dining accommodations

You will need to complete the exemption application process by the 10th class day of each semester unless you have a newly-diagnosed medical condition.

Students who work internships often receive class credit for those internship rotations, and class credit automatically triggers a dining charge to your eBill account. If you’re far away from campus, there’s a simple, online process to have the charge removed, simply complete an acommodation application.

You will need to complete this process by the 10th class day of each semester to receive your accommodation.

As part of the Auburn Family, Tiger Dining works tirelessly to ensure everyone has a seat at the table.  On rare occasions, a student may have a dietary restriction we’re not able to completely accommodate.  For those rare situations, students may request a dining plan accommodation.

You will need to complete this process by the 10th class day of each semester to receive your exemption.
