About Tiger Dining

Tiger Dining is passionate about connecting students, parents, faculty and staff with the dining resources they need on campus.

We work tirelessly to ensure everyone in the Auburn Family has a seat at the table.

We also partner with campus colleges and departments to provide practical experience for students. When students combine classroom knowledge with marketable skills, they gain a fuller understanding of how they can use their talents in the workforce after graduation.

We have an open-door policy, and we welcome feedback. Stop by the office to meet our staff and share your thoughts. Whether you are interested in a new type of cuisine or want to share kudos for your favorite employee, we want to hear from you.

Our office is conveniently located in Foy Hall, Suite 105.

Our Values

Sustainability

Tiger Dining is on a sustainability journey, incorporating the best, most sustainable practices throughout all phases of food service on Auburn University's campus.

Every journey begins with a single step, and this journey starting in fall 2014 when we eliminated polystyrene from all dining facilities on campus.

Forging a creative, mutually beneficial relationship with Auburn’s horticulture and fisheries departments was the next step in the process. This collaboration supports the aquaponics system, which grows fish and vegetables at the E.W. Shell Fisheries Center and supplies these fresh foods to campus within hours of harvest.

The next step led us to the corner of Wire Road and Shug Jordan Parkway, home to the College of Agriculture’s Lambert-Powell Meats Lab. The partnership with this group provides Auburn’s campus with fresh beef and pork products.

Our commitment to sustainable foods took a big step forward with the award of our most recent dining contract in May 2018. This contract specifies that 20% of the food served on campus must be procured from local sources.

But the journey is far from over. Watch as we take steps toward our vision: a completely sustainable food system on campus. This system will include all aspects of food production, from planting and harvesting to composting. It also will incorporate goals such as minimizing food waste in prep areas and addressing concerns such as food insecurity and nutrition counseling.
