How to withdraw within the first 15 days of class
Withdraw Within the First 15 Days of Class
There are times when students begin classes at Auburn University and realize they are not able to stay enrolled. This can happen for a variety of reasons and Auburn supports students in making decisions that prioritize their needs.
When a student withdraws from classes within the first 15 days of class they will receive a full tuition refund, minus the $100 course registration fee. Additionally, the classes they withdraw from will not appear on their transcript. Their transcript will look like they were never enrolled.
Below are the steps a student should follow when withdrawing during the first 15 days of class.
-
If a student has student loans, they should speak with University Financial Aid prior to dropping their schedule to discuss the implications withdrawing will have on their financial aid. University Financial Aid can be reached at 334-844-4634.
-
If a student has scholarships, they should speak with the Office of University Scholarships prior to dropping their schedule to discuss the implication withdrawing will have on their scholarship. The Office of University Scholarships can be reached at 334-844-4580.
-
If a student is withdrawing from classes during the first 15 days due to medical reasons and they have a University Scholarship, they may be required to submit medical documentation to the Auburn Cares office so their scholarship can be retained for future semesters. The Office of University Scholarships will advise on this process.
