How to get an Auburn Cares hold removed from your account
Get an Auburn Cares Hold Removed From Your Account
It is not uncommon for students to experience challenges during college. When Auburn Cares staff receive information that raises concerns about the safety and wellbeing of a student or the campus community they will reach out to the student(s) involved. If the student(s) do not respond to this outreach, or the Auburn Cares staff are unable to reach the student(s), a hold is placed on their account which prevents them from adding or dropping classes. Below are the steps to resolve the Auburn Cares hold on a student’s account.
-
Call the Auburn Cares office and ask to speak with an Auburn Cares staff member. If possible, please ask to speak with the staff member who originally contacted the student. Auburn Cares can be reached at 334-844-1305.
-
The student must sign a release of information with their healthcare provider so the provider can share information about the student's attendance with the Auburn Cares office.
-
Submit medical documentation to the Auburn Cares office confirming the student has followed up with a healthcare provider. Documentation can be sent directly to the Auburn Cares staff member with whom the student is working.
-
Auburn Cares staff will contact the Registrar's Office and ask that the hold be removed from the student's account
