Auburn University’s Panhellenic Council welcomed a record-breaking 2,153 new members to its 18 sorority chapters this Saturday, concluding a week of formal recruitment marked by high engagement and enthusiasm. This year, a record 2,352 women registered for recruitment, reinforcing Auburn’s continued leadership among SEC schools in Panhellenic participation and its position as host of the fourth-largest formal recruitment in the country.

The day began at Neville Arena, where potential new members received their bids. Excitement filled the space as 92% of the 2,352 participants found their home in one of Auburn’s Panhellenic chapters. Following the arena celebration, new members joined their chapters at the Village, where they were greeted by sorority sisters, friends, and family.

“Bid Day is more than just a celebration, it’s the beginning of a journey filled with leadership, service, and personal growth,” said Lindsay Holdren, Director of Greek Life. “Auburn’s Panhellenic community sets the standard. We are thrilled to welcome so many new members into the lifelong sisterhood that is sorority.”

“Bid Day is not only an exciting day for new members, but also for active members who get to celebrate their new sisters. It’s a day filled with laughter, joy, and memories that last a lifetime,” shared Maggie Lynch, Panhellenic Vice President of Recruitment.

Throughout the week, potential new members participated in a structured, values-based recruitment process designed to help them find the best fit among Auburn’s Panhellenic organizations. Recruitment counselors, known as Pi Chis, provided guidance and support while remaining disaffiliated from their own chapters to ensure impartiality.

Auburn Panhellenic continues to be one of the largest and most active communities in the country, offering students opportunities for leadership, academic support, and personal development.
