UPC Committees

Films

The Films committee offers free screenings of the best recent movie releases and gives students a high-quality cinematic experience. Films often host screenings outdoors on the Campus Green or Upper Quad Lawn, indoor theatre movies, and even the annual Movie in Jordan-Hare and Movie in Plainsman Park.

Holidays & Traditions

The Holidays and Traditions committee plans events emphasizing the traditions of Auburn as well as various holidays. Holidays and Traditions hosts major annual traditional events such as the Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally as well as the Holiday Lighting Ceremony. Holidays and Traditions also hosts Haunting on the Plains and Earth Day Extravaganza along with other holiday-centered events to highlight various national holidays. This committee also partners with multicultural student groups on campus to celebrate cultural traditions at Auburn.

Interactive Events

The Interactive Events committee plans events that expand students' skill sets and allow them to participate in engaging and interactive events that expose participants to new and creative opportunities. Interactive Events hosts engaging events such as Student Center Takeover and Rollin’ through the Decades as well as events where students can widen their skill sets such as Painting on the Plains and Cooking Workshops.

Live Entertainment

The Live Entertainment committee plans events centered around live performances and other stage shows. These events work towards introducing students to a variety of musical and artistic influences. Live Entertainment hosts concerts such as War Damn Coffee Jam and Spring Concert as well as other performances such as Open Mic Night, Game Show, and Comedy Night.

Pop-Up Events

The Pop-Up Events committee plans events centered around the niche interests of the Auburn student body. These events are smaller scale and centered around providing students with an environment to explore different interests and activities. Some of their events include daytime events such as First Day of Class Photos and Toomer’s and Tie Dye as well as Late Night Pop-Up's and Video Game Tournaments.

Special Events

The Special Events committee plans extravagant, “can’t miss” events that have something for everyone. This committee works to provide the Auburn community with large-scale events that are inclusive and diverse, offering a wide range of activities that cater to all interests. Some of their signature events include carnival-style events such as Fall Festival and Spring Fair, as well as other major events such as the First 56 Block Party and Magnolia Ball.

Campus Engagement

The Campus Engagement committee works to represent UPC and our mission and values to the Auburn campus community. Campus Engagement promotes UPC and our diverse range of events by engaging students on the concourse weekly as well as coordinating UPC’s presence at chapter and other organization visits.

Media

The Media committee works to create a cohesive social media presence and cultivate UPC’s digital presence. Media works to showcase our organization's vision and diverse events to the student body through social media and other online mediums. Media works with UPC’s graphic designers, who create our digital content, as well as overseeing UPC’s photographers and planning on-campus marketing opportunities to improve UPC’s social media presence and organizational awareness.
