Student Governance

Black Student Union (BSU)
The Black Student Union at Auburn University upholds the following principles: to represent the interests and concerns of Black students at Auburn University; to bring together all aspects of Black student life for the purpose of improving the campus environment; to encourage involvement of Black students in all campus activities; to discourage and abate institutional and individual acts and symbols of racism; and to promote the Auburn spirit and tradition of excellence.

International Student Organization (ISO)
The mission of the International Student Organization is to improve multinational understanding and promote relationships between people of different cultures. ISO also helps ease the process of adaptation for international students. ISO actively promotes diversity and beneficial interaction between the international students and American students. Some of ISO’s events include the International Peace Dinner, Friday Social Hours, a world’s fair, cultural show and a soccer tournament.

Student Government Association (SGA)
The mission of the Student Government Association is, “Serving and promoting the individual student; unifying all that is Auburn.” SGA represents the student voice to university faculty, staff and administration as well as government entities like the Auburn City Council. This is done through the three different branches: executive, legislative, and judicial. The executive branch consists of Executive Cabinet with different teams conducting initiatives, financial projects, outreach efforts, and communications and marketing tactics. The legislative branch is made up of 34 senators representing Auburn’s 13 colleges who address constituent needs and concerns through passing legislation. The judicial branch interprets the SGA Constitution and Code of Laws.
