The start of a new fall semester means it's time to elect a new Miss Homecoming! Following Auburn’s beloved tradition, students will gather all weekend to celebrate the return of alumni to campus and foster the community that makes Auburn so special.

The Miss Homecoming candidates, Abby Grace Stevens, Ashley May, Julia Wright, Kaylee Laplante, and Mallory Holland, can be found alongside their teams on Haley Concourse all week, and Auburn’s student body will be able to vote for whom they want to elect as their Miss Homecoming. The culmination of the week’s campaigning will occur at halftime during the Auburn vs. South Alabama game, when the winner will be announced and crowned.

Abby Grace Stevens is a senior from Chicago, Illinois. Stevens is studying communications, and among other involvement, worked as a Camp War Eagle counselor in 2024. From that experience, she found inspiration for her platform topic; “Embrace with Abby Grace” strives to help students embrace their identity as an Auburn student by fully owning and participating in Auburn traditions.

Ashley May is a senior from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. May is studying marketing and spends much of her time as a Tiger Paw and serving on the Onward leadership team. May’s platform, “Grow Every Day with May,” encourages and supports students through their gradual personal development during their time at Auburn. She seeks to help students be the best version of themselves they can be.

Julia Wright is a senior from Hoover, Alabama studying instrumental music education. She is a member of the Auburn University Marching Band and is the secretary for the Collegiate National Association for Music Educators of Alabama. Her platform, “Be Alright with Julia Wright,” advocates for mental health resources and awareness on Auburn’s campus. Her desire to help students through these programs drives Julia’s “why” behind her campaign.

Kaylee Laplante is a senior from Oxford, Alabama. She is studying public relations and is a member of the War Eagle Girls. Laplante’s platform, “Kick It with Kaylee,” is focused on kick-starting every Auburn student’s college experience. She seeks to welcome new students, transfers, and freshmen alike, and integrate them into the Auburn family, community, and traditions.

Finally, Mallory Holland is a senior from Huntsville, Alabama. She is studying industrial and systems engineering and has a rich history of involvement on Auburn’s campus, including time spent as the Student Government Association’s (SGA) Director of Auburn Rings. Her campaign, “Home with Holland,” looks to make every Auburn student feel like they belong. She has established three pillars—design, structure, and community—to help her welcome students to their Auburn experience.

Before Miss Homecoming can be announced on Saturday, Auburn students must gather to vote for their candidate on the last day of the campaign. Catherine Guilsher, the SGA’s Director of Elections, said, “The woman who makes the best Miss Homecoming is the woman who longs to fulfill the role to embody all those she loves at Auburn. She wins because she has embodied what it says in the Auburn Creed to ‘be the human touch’. She has spread herself wide in kindness and is able to be a good representative of all her friends and all the connections she has made here at Auburn.”

To learn more about the candidates’ platforms, students and alumni can visit the elections webpage on SGA's new website. Voting will commence on Friday, September 12th from 7AM to 3PM.
