Auburn Panhellenic Hosts Annual Circle of Sisterhood Week

Auburn Panhellenic women unite to raise funds and awareness for girls’ education worldwide.

Auburn University’s Panhellenic Council successfully hosted its annual Circle of Sisterhood (COS) Week from September 29 to October 3, 2025. Circle of Sisterhood, the National Panhellenic Conference’s national philanthropy, harnesses the collective influence of sorority women to remove educational barriers for girls and women facing poverty and oppression worldwide.

The Circle of Sisterhood Foundation represents a worldwide humanitarian effort led by sorority women who understand the transformative power of education. While only 7% of people globally are college-educated, two-thirds of the world’s illiterate adults are women. With Auburn sorority women representing 47% of undergraduate women on campus, COS week provided an opportunity to give back and extend the gift of education to those who need it most.

Hailey Fullenkamp, the Director of Circle of Sisterhood within the Panhellenic Cabinet, shared, “Our partnership with Circle of Sisterhood this week brought the Auburn Panhellenic Community together in a mission to uplift and empower women globally. It has been such a joy to see the Panhellenic community come together this week to help open doors to education and opportunities for women globally.”

Throughout the week, Auburn Panhellenic hosted a series of engaging events to raise awareness and funds for the cause:

  • Kickoff on the Concourse (Monday 9/29): Students stopped by Haley Concourse in letters to learn more about the COS and support the cause.
  • Taco Tuesday Benefit at Barberitos (Tuesday 9/30): Proceeds from the benefit night supported COS global education initiatives.
  • Pie-a-Panhellenic (Wednesday 10/1): For $5, participants enjoyed pieing a Panhellenic on the Campus Green while contributing to the philanthropy.
  • Flower Cart on the Concourse (Thursday 10/2): Students created flower arrangements to support global education efforts.
  • Spillin’ the Tea Benefit (Friday 10/3): Proceeds from purchases throughout the day were directed to COS fundraising goals.

By combining philanthropy, education, and campus engagement, Auburn’s COS Week not only raised critical funds for the organization but also reinforced the role of sorority women as the largest communities of educated women in the world, uniquely positioned to elevate women’s status, strengthen families, and positively impact generations to come.

“Circle of Sisterhood Week is such a great tradition for our community. Auburn's Panhellenic women continue to show their passion and dedication through their fundraising and advocacy efforts, proving that when they unite for a cause, we can create real change for women and girls around the world,” shares Panhellenic Coordinator Madeline Lewis.
