Tomorrow marks the first Wellness Day of the semester. Wellness Days are intended to give you a day off to rest and recharge. During an academic year unlike any other, you deserve it.
Wellness Days for the semester are:
• Tuesday, Feb. 16
• Wednesday, March 10
• Thursday, April 1
During these days, campus will remain open, but classes will not meet.
Tiger Dining will have slight changes to hours of operation at some locations. Be sure to check aub.ie/dining for the latest information.
Campus Rec will be open from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Feb. 16.
I recognize this is not the typical spring break you look forward to each year, but it is what is necessary for Auburn to continue on-campus operations. I hope that you will take the opportunity to check in on your health, both mentally and physically. Sleep in, go for a walk or do something that brings you joy.
Please limit travel when possible, use good judgment and continue practicing those important health and safety guidelines like wearing a face covering, washing your hands and physical distancing.
Additionally, as the university continues to administer COVID-19 vaccines through its phased approach, more vaccines will be made available for employees and students. Faculty, staff and currently enrolled students who have NOT submitted a form indicating an interest in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine through the university can do so by clicking here. Receiving the vaccine is NOT mandatory. The updated form does not require risk factors and simply allows the campus community to be added to the waiting list. Those who submitted the previous form are already on the waiting list and do not have to complete a new form. As the university moves through later phases of the vaccine prioritization plan, individuals will be prioritized based on age, from oldest to youngest.
