As assistant vice president for outreach in Student Affairs, Green will serve as a liaison to many groups, including local ministry groups that interact with students, civic groups and off campus partners, and will establish direct relationships and contacts with local government officials on behalf of students.

Green currently serves as the director of the Veterans Resource Center. His previous appointments include assistant professor of political science, as director of Auburn University’s Center for Diversity and Race Relations, vice president for Access, Outreach and Community Initiatives, Dean of Students and as a development officer.

Green will be responsible for assisting with, facilitating and leading contract negotiations regarding programming and services as the division’s representative, in addition to working closely with Woodard to provide the leadership, vision and develop new programs based on student’s needs.

“I am so excited to join the Student Affairs team once again,” said Green. “This new position will allow me the opportunity to do something that I loveā€”to reconnect with and work on behalf of Auburn men and women. I have been privileged to work with veteran students over the more recent past, but this opportunity will allow me to engage students more broadly.”

Green received his undergraduate, MPA, MBA and Ph.D. degrees from Auburn University.
