Haven Hart has been named the assistant vice president for Student Development in the Division of Student Affairs at Auburn University. She will oversee Greek Life, Health Promotion and Wellness Services, Case Management and Student Advocacy, and Student Conduct.
Since January 2014, Hart served as the Director of Student Conduct overseeing student conduct, case management and the division’s Critical Incident Response Team. In this role, she served on the university’s Threat Assessment Team and the Sexual Assault Response Team. Prior to her position in student conduct, Hart was the Student Employment Coordinator in the university’s Career Center from 2012-2014.
Hart has more than 25 years of experience in student affairs administration. In addition to her positions at Auburn, she served as Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Coastal Carolina University, Dean of Students at Converse College and Assistant Director of Student Life at the University of Alabama. During her time as a higher education professional, she has provided oversight for Greek Life, Counseling Services, Student Health Services, Housing and Residence Life, Multicultural Student Services, Student Activities, Leadership Programs, Student Conduct, Student Government Association, Critical Incident/Students at Risk initiatives, Off Campus Student Services, Volunteer Services, Orientation, Parent Programs and Athletics.
Hart holds a M.Ed. degree in Guidance and Counseling and a BA in Secondary Education from Clemson University. She is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Higher Education Administration at Auburn University.
