The Division of Student Affairs at Auburn University has named Lady Cox as the assistant vice president for engagement. In her new role, Cox will oversee the Student Center, Student Involvement, Student Media and Parent and Family Programs. She will also continue to be a deputy Title IX coordinator for the university.
Since November 2013, Cox has served as the interim assistant vice president for student affairs, in which she oversaw the Student Center, Greek Life, Parent and Family Programs, Student Involvement, Student Conduct and Health Promotion and Wellness Services. Before stepping in as interim assistant vice president, she served as chief of staff, managing accounting, human resources, marketing and parent programs for the Division of Student Affairs.
Prior to joining the staff at Auburn, Cox was the director of parent and student services in the Dean of Students Office at Mississippi State University. While at MSU, she also worked in the Department of Housing and Residence Life.
A native of Starkville, Mississippi, Lady earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Mississippi State. She also has a master’s degree in higher education with an emphasis in student affairs from Auburn University.
